Overview

Your Ladakh Bike Trip will begin starting from the heavenly Kashmir and going towards Sonamarg (a famous hill station). After crossing the Zojila pass, you will cross Drass (second coldest inhabited place) and Kargil. At Wakha  you can visit the famous stone curved Maitreya Buddha, crossing Namkila pass and Fotula pass and reach at Lamayuru and Moonland, while on the way to Leh you can visit Sham Valley, Sangam Point, Magnetic hill, Pathar sahib and Shanti Stupa. Biking from Khardungla pass comes the beautiful Nubra valley – one can see the sand dunes at Hundar and double humped bactrian camels.

At Pangong lake “high grassland lake” which is the most charming and stunning mountain lake in India. To reach Leh one has to cross Changla pass and on the way towards Leh visit Thiksey Monastery also known as “Little Potala Palace” and the Rancho’s school at Shey. Crossing Tanglangla pass and Pang one reaches Serchu from Sarchu one will ride towards Manali crossing The Famous Atal Tunnel. Manali to Delhi by Volvo Bus, your journey will end at Delhi.

Our trip will begin from Srinagar and end in Manali.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
  • Post lunch around 2 pm, participants will need to gather at Dal Lake, from there we will transfer you to Sonamarg.
  • Sonamarg has historical significance as a gateway on the ancient Silk Road, connecting Jammu and Kashmir with Tibet.
  • Today, the hill station is a popular tourist destination amongst  hikers, and following the Kargil War with neighboring Pakistan in 1999, it serves as a strategically important point for the Indian Army. The hill station is situated in the Kashmir Valley, at an altitude of 2,730 metres (8,960 ft).
  • Overnight stay at Sonamarg.
Day 2: Sonamarg to Wakha-Mulbekh via Zojila Pass
  • Early morning after breakfast we head towards Wakha-mulbekh which is 35kms ahead of Kargil.
  • Once you reach Leh, you can also explore the Leh market.
  • On the way to Wakha, you will cross the Zojila pass, the Kargil war memorial at Drass, and stone curved statue of Maitreya Buddha at Mulbekh.
  • Overnight stay at Wakha camping site.
Day 3: Wakha-Mulbekh to Leh via Lamayuru
  • After breakfast we leave for Leh crossing Fotula Pass and Namkila Pass,
  • We also cross the Sangam point which is the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar and Indus rivers, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib.
  • Arrival at Leh by evening, Overnight stays at Leh.
Day 5: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
  • Post breakfast we will drive towards the breathtaking Nubra Valley, only 130 kilometers from Leh.
  • En route we will pass through Khardungla situated at an altitude of 17582 ft.
  • Nubra valley is known for its scenic landscapes.
  • We will pass through Hunder famous for its sand dunes and double humped Bactrian camels.
  • Camel rides and ATV rides are also available here.
  • Overnight at Hunder village .
Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok
  • After breakfast, we will ride toward Pangong via the Shayok River. It is about a 180km ride
  • We'll reach Pangong in the evening. Pangong Lake, one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh.
  • This lake is also known to change colours with torquoise blue melting into an emerald green.
  • Spend a stargazing night at a campsite near the lake.
Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh via Changla Pass
  • Today we head back to Leh early in the morning.
  • On our way back we cross Chang La at an elevation of 5360m, Chang La is the third highest motorable road in the world.
  • We'll visit Thiksey Monastery built in 1430 AD.
  • Reach Leh by evening. Overnight stay in Leh
Day 7: Leh to Serchu via Tanglang La Pass
  • Early Morning we will ride towards Sarchu via Taglang-La Pass.
  • En route we will see many famous destinations like Moori Plain, Pang, etc. We will reach Sarchu by evening.
  • Overnight stay at Sarchu.
Day 8: Serchu to Manali via Atal Tunnel (Distance- 210 km, Time- 8 hrs approx)
  • Morning after breakfast ride toward Manali.
  • Crossing over the Atal Tunnel and crossing the beautiful villages of Lahaul Valley.
  • This is our last day of the Leh Ladakh bike trip from Sarchu.
  • Today we will ride over Manali Leh road.
  • Overnight in a Hotel at Manali.
Day 9: Manali to Delhi ( Volvo Bus )
  • Morning at around 10 am after breakfast you will check out the hotel. Keeping your luggage at the reception you will get free time from 10 am- 4 pm, you can roam around the market or visit nearby tourist attractions.
  • At 4 pm, everyone will meet for a tempo ride to the Volvo bus stand.
  • Overnight journey from Manali to Delhi.
Day 10: Reached Delhi
  • You will reach Delhi around 9 -10 am which can get delayed in case of heavy traffic.
