Overview

This package includes- Shanti stupa, Sangam – confluence of Indus and Zanskar river – where one can experience river rafting and bungee jumping,  magnetic hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara. Crossing Khardung La pass, and reach the beautiful Nubra valley – Deskit monastery and statue of Maitreya Buddha, white rolling sand dunes at Hundar, double humped bactrian camel and also journey along the Shyok river  towards the famous Pangong Tso- meaning “high grassland lake”. While on your way back this  tour includes crossing Changla, visit the Thiksey monastery – also known as ‘little potala palace’ due to its resemblance and the famous Rancho’s school.

The cherry on top is you will be experiencing the ride with the friendly and locally based company in Leh.  The guides and road captain being the native will have experience and can converse in both English and hindi, for your comfortable and enjoyable journey.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Leh Airport
  • Our wild yak representative will receive you at Leh airport and drop you at your hotel.

  • Guests are requested to rest during the first half of the day in order to get acclimatized and not engage in any sort of strenous activities. 

  •  Later in the evening you can visit the Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa, both these ancient sturctures provide a panoramic view of the entire town. Do not forget to take a stroll around the local market and explore the handicrafts of Tibetan art and Kasmiri art. End your day with a local cuisine and head back to the hotel.

     

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing towards Sangam Point
  • After breakfast we head towards Sangam Point.  
  • On our way back to Leh we will stop at Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of Fame.
  •  Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh City.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass
  • After breakfast, we head towards Nubra Valley only 130 kilometers from Leh.
  • En route we pass through the epic Khardung La Mountain Pass, the second highest motorable road in the world.
  •  Continuing on your way down from the pass, we reach Hunder village, famous for its sand dunes and double humped Bactrian camels.
Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok Route
  • After breakfast, we will drive towards Pangong Lake via Shayok Road in the east of Ladakh, bordering China.
  • Wildlife sightings are common here.
  • Reach Pangong by afternoon and take a pause to marvel at this beauty of nature.
  • A stargazing night awaits you at your camp.
Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh Via Changla Pass
  • Today we head back to Leh early. On our way back we cross Chang La at an elevation of 5360m, we hault here for a while to witness the scenic landscape.
  • We stop at Thiksey Monastery - also known as the mini Potala, an architectural masterpiece dating back to 1430 AD.
  • Reach Leh by evening. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 6: Departure to Home
  • After breakfast, transfer to Leh airport for departure.
